aki, my colleague, asked me if i already saw the abs-cbn christmas station id. i said, not yet. so, he showed me. as a kapamilya ever since i could remember, it gives me great joy (teary-eyed watching the station id) to pay tribute to our unsung heroes, the people who volunteered, the people behind the government agencies and the non-government agencies, etc., who are always there when we need them the most. these are the people who risk their lives to help save other lives. what i love about this video is that it showcases the kindness and selflessness of Filipinos to help and reach out to others not only in times of need but also in celebration. i'm a type of person who easily cries on videos that are heart-warming, that leaves an etch in your heart, and many others that deals with emotions. hahaha! i think it has something to do with the fact that i'm a giver, more than a receiver, and that i enjoy making other people happy. here's the video so you'll know what i'm talking about. enjoy! :) thank you abs-cbn for reminding me that i'm a Filipino - a friend, a confidant, and a partner. :)
tight hugs, AC just need to share this coz an AMA-er student who is a regular customer of our carinderia is being name called as Avatar. i was so curious as to why! hahaha... then, he removed his cap, and viola, the haircut is really Avatar-ish! kaloka! :)... i was so amazed that i took a picture of his hair and told him that i'll blog about it. well, its not everyday you see a person who would dare to have this haircut, naman! its worth taking notice of, and writing about it. meet, Kyle, the "Avatar Aang" of AMA Computer College, Cebu Mabolo Campus. ang cute diba?! :) i wasn't able to take a pic of Kyle's face coz he's too cam shy. maybe next time i'll be able to convince him. hehe :) ... i wonder what his next peg will be, baka Rihanna, charot! lol :)
tight hugs, AC JUJU cleanse, a three-level cleansing program that involves juice fasting and can be tailor made to suit your existing lifestyle and dietary history. home-made fresh everyday from the Juju kitchen of couple David and Kat Azanza. What's more exciting is that they deliver these products, straight to your doorstep. so cool! and the famous celebrity who is currently taking this now is no other than Queen of all Media, Kris Aquino! as proof, here's a pic of her drinking one. this will also be featured in her K Mag. :) the trend nowadays is geared towards health and wellness. just like the other day, while i was making my green smoothie in the pantry, a colleague of mine shared to me that she's following Gwyneth Paltrow's blog and Gwyneth is also into green smoothie now as well. :)
after having read JUJU Cleanse products from their website, i can say that we can concoct it on our own. all that we need is a juicer. the only difference with Juju Cleanse and green smoothie is that (apart from the ingredients) with Juju Cleanse, you drink the juice, while green smoothie, you intake the fiber and the juice at the same time. i like the green smoothie better because of its fiber content and its also very affordable. JUJU Cleanse products are a bit pricey though. To know more about JUJU Cleanse, visit their website. Click here tight hugs, AC last sept 8, burnz and i went to the baptism reception of baby jo mari durano at Amara. here, we were reunited with our previous boss, cherry durano, whom we consider as one of our good friends. we were also reunited with our previous work colleagues. here's our ganap. :) i was not expecting to see so many former colleagues at this event but then, it felt great being reunited with them. so many stories to catch up from everybody. saya! here's our group pic. :) this event was truly memorable. for sure, this will not be the last time that i'll see their faces. see you around, guys! :)

tight hugs, AC i spent the whole day today at cebu international convention center to attend the Umami Culinary Challenge and Bida ka Carinderia event by Ajinomoto. my landlady and a very good friend of mine, leizel tan, was invited to be a speaker for the Bida ka Carinderia event of Ajinomoto. her success story as a businesswoman is truly inspiring so Aji mgt. chose her to speak before other carinderia owners. oh diba, sosyal! she dragged me along this event for moral support. here's ate leizel on-stage, inspiring everybody on how her business expanded due to hard work. i didn't know that she's been cooking since the age of 16, imagine! and she credited her grandfather for teaching her how to cook. so touching and inspiring. click on the pics to have a bigger view. :) also, to my surprise, i crossed path with some present and past colleagues during this event. a former colleague of mine, Jessie, is into culinary school right now and he's one of the contestants in the culinary competition. the event is full of aspiring young chefs. it feels good to be surrounded with food enthusiasts. as a food lover and a cook myself, i'm very happy to be in this event, and this is just my first time to attend of this kind. here's some of my pics with my past and present colleagues. :) the culinary competition was such a treat. an array of mouth watering dishes from different culinary schools were presented for viewers to take pics and appreciate. here are some dishes that caught my attention. :) here's how the crowd went for today's event. the event was packed with culinary students from different culinary schools. it was nice to see the culinary competition right before your eyes. really exciting! :) its the first time for Ajinomoto to hold this kind of event here in Cebu. I have to say, BRAVO for coming up with this kind of event. I really hope to be part of this again next year! sooo looking forward. Thanks for the invitation, Ryan Famador! until next year! :)

Tomorrowland, one of the best party places in the world, located in Boom, Belgium. this is an annual music festival in belgium, held on the month of July, where people around the world gather to party non-stop for 3 to 5 days! an event that gathers the best DJ techno mixers from around the world. definitely worth experiencing! here's what happened for this year's ultimate music festival in Belgium. if you're a party person, you have to be here! when i researched on the tickets for 2013, gosh, 2 million people are currently on queue, wanting to buy the tickets for the 2013 event! hahahaha! if you wish to know more about this event, check their website - click here.
tight hugs, AC one time, while at work, a colleague invited me to try the "BEST" chicken in town, Chosun (according to my colleague). Chosun is a korean restaurant. so, we decided to dine at this resto located at lahug, cebu. it was far from our work place. so, i told my colleague, "this better be good!". she bragged so much about the taste of this resto's chicken that i have yet to taste. the chicken dish here costs a whooping Php 500.00! kakaloka! when we arrived, i took note of the signage and the resto's facade. sorry, it didn't impress me. its not enticing at all. so, when we went in, this is what greeted us. its not messy as a resto but definitely, everything is not coordinated. some of the fixtures are old and needs to be replaced. then, i frowned because I already had a hint that its not going to be a good experience. hahaha! that kept my colleague (balor) worried. hahaha :) we took our orders. finally, the food was served, and the 500 peso chicken dish came in! hahaha... the coating of the chicken was unique coz i never tasted anything like it before but the taste is not impressive. it doesn't have a "wow" factor. then i tasted the meat of the chicken, without an iota of doubt, it tasted like ordinary fried chicken. i told my colleague, sorry, its so ordinary, i dont like it. hahaha! anyways, before the main course came in, we were served with appetizers, the likes of popcorn (appetizer???), sizzled egg (appetizer???), coleslaw (tastes ordinary), pickled raddish (this was good). sorry, i won't recommend that you try this resto. its not worth it. but out of curiosity and if you have 500 peso that you are willing to waste, try it out. lol even though i was not amazed by the food, the customer service was great. their cashier/waitress (multi-tasking) was very accommodating. here's a pic of our dining experience at Chosun. tight hugs,
